Allan scowled then forced himself to grin while I expressed a cheerful smile all over.

“I get it,” Margaret went on, “no need to say more. Allan, you had your time and Shirley, you had a great time.”

Actually, this last quote well sums up most expat couples’ lives. Indeed on the one hand the husband spends his time working (…) and on the other hand (…) his wife experiences the pleasurable hardships of taking part in social and cultural events.

Honestly, we, men and ladies do have different story lines. And yes, we are expat ladies and so what?
